Bangkok Airways (PG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) is planning to raise USD322million (THB10billion) via an Initial Public Offering due in July. The funds will be used in building a new MRO hangar at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and in fleet acquisition, Captain Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, the airline's president and majority shareholder, has said. According to him, the airline will add 10 more aircraft to its current fleet of twenty-three over the next four or five years with plans to introduce flights to Krabi, Mandalay International and Udon Thani. The Krabi route started operation in March with three daily flights. The Mandalay route will launch September 16, while Udon Thani will be added in the fourth quarter.
