Blue Islands (SI, Jersey) will deploy its incoming ATR72-500, G-ISLI (cn 529), on lease from Scandinavian lessor Nordic Aviation Capital, onto flights from Guernsey and Jersey to Southampton effective December 6. According to Rob Veron, the airline's managing director, the new turboprop will replace the incumbent Jetstream 32, thereby boosting capacity on the by 110'000 seats. Pilots and crew are currently being recruited, the BBC reports.
