Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi International) is to double its flights between Abu Dhabi International and New York JFK with the introduction of a second daily service from March 1, 2014. Initially, the new flights will be operated by Etihad Airways using two three-class B777-300ER aircraft wet-leased from its strategic partner, India’s Jet Airways (Mumbai International). However beginning May 1, 2014, Jet Airways plans to take over these flights under its own flight numbers.
