Dynamic Airways (Greensboro Piedmont Triad International) has suspended its 4x weekly New York JFK to Georgetown Cheddi Jagan service because of administrative bottlenecks at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport. In a statement, the carrier said it would suspend the service, which launched on June 26, from July 17 until August 8.

"This temporary suspension will allow us to secure time slots at JFK airport, organize better ground handling and check in process as well as secure schedule integrity which Dynamic Airways is well known for. All flights starting from August 8th are not impacted by this change and will be operated as displayed on our website, and in our reservation system," the airline said.

Gerry Gouveia, the CEO of Roraima Airways (ROR, Georgetown Ogle) which is partnering Dynamic for the flights, told the Demerara Waves Online News that he would not approve the restart of flights on the route unless he was first convinced that Dynamic has cleared all the hurdles.

“I took it for the granted the first time but this time they will have to prove to me that they are ready,” he said.
