Phoenix Airways (Basseterre) reportedly launched scheduled operations on July 16 with charter flights to Aruba, Bridgetown, Antigua, Nevis, St. Maarten, Anguilla, Tortola and Santo Domingo Las Américas. Operations to St. Thomas Cyril E. King, St. Croix Henry E. Rohlsen and Puerto Rico will begin in October 2014 while flights Miami International and New York JFK will commence in January 2015.
The Kittitian start-up plans to operate a fleet of four aircraft including a Beech (twin turboprop) King Air, a Beech 1900D, an E120 and a B737-300.
