Cayman Airways (KX, Grand Cayman Island) will wet-lease an E120 from interCaribbean Airways (JY, Providenciales) for use on flights to neighbouring Cayman Brac Island airline CEO, Fabian Whorms, told the Cayman 27 news site. The aircraft is scheduled to enter service on October 15.

According to Whorms, the Caymanian carrier was forced to turn to the Turks & Caicos operator after the planned acquisition of an Saab 340B stalled for a second time. Earlier this year, the airline announced plans to introduce a larger aircraft on the route, currently operated by its fleet of two DHC-6s.
