Bangkok Airways (PG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) took delivery of its first of nine ATR72-600s on order from ATR - Avions de Transport Régional at a ceremony held at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi on November 27. The turboprop, HS-PZA (cn 1194), will be followed by eight other aircraft from now until 2017.
The Thai carrier currently operates eight ATR72-500s on flights connecting Bangkok Suvarnabhumi, Koh Samui, Krabi, Phuket, Lampang, Sukhothai and Trat locally and on flights to Luang Prabang in Laos, Nay Pyi Taw and Yangon in Myanmar, and Siem Reap in Cambodia.
