Cebu Pacific Air (5J, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) has confirmed previous reports of a new A330-300 order with the signing of a firm purchase agreement with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for two of the type. The aircraft will join the Filipino LCC's existing fleet of six A330-300s used on longhaul flights to destinations in the Middle East and Australia, as well on selected domestic and regional routes.

“The newly ordered aircraft will enable us to add more long haul routes, including the launch of our first flights to the US," Lance Gokongwei, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Executive Officer, said.

Cebu Pacific also operates seven A319s and thirty-six A320-200s. Its Cebgo (DG, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) unit also operates eight ATR72-500s on flights throughout the Philippines.
