Maleth-Aero (MLT, Malta International) is considering adding a maiden B737-400(F) to its fleet later this year airline chief executive Michael O'Brien has said.
Speaking to Air Cargo News, O'Brien said the addition of more cargo aircraft to its fleet reflected the greater role the sector was expected to play in the Maltese ACMI/charter carrier's operations going forward.
As such, Maleth-Aero is also making its only B737-300(QC) available to the market in an all-cargo configuration. While 9H-PAM (msn 25744) has been plying ad-hoc passenger charters around Europe this summer, the company is actively looking for work for the aircraft as a freighter, O'Brien added.
Maleth-Aero also operates two B737-300s (one in VIP configuration), one B737-400, and one B737-700(BBJ).
