United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) has announced it will commence scheduled B777-300ER operations during the first quarter of next year.
The carrier said in a statement last week that the type's maiden return commercial service - New York Newark-San Francisco - would operate 6x weekly between February 16 and May 4, 2017.
The B777-300(ER)'s maiden intercontinental route - San Francisco-Hong Kong International - will launch on March 25 replacing an existing B747-400 service.
United has fourteen B777-300(ER)s on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) and expects all of them to enter revenue service during the course of next year. They are powered by General Electric GE90-115Bs and feature 366 seats with sixty in Business class, 102 in Economy Plus, and 204 in Economy.
