Delta Air Lines (DL, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) and United Airlines (UA, Chicago O'Hare) have taken minority stakes in Republic Airways Holdings, in line with the terms of the regional carrier's merger with Mesa Air Group. According to two separate SEC disclosures on December 3 and December 5, United Airlines now owns over 7.7 million shares in Republic, giving it an 18.2% stake. Delta, in turn, owns just under 6.8 million shares, equivalent to a 14.4% stake.
