Air Comet (Madrid Barajas) parent Grupo Marsans has surprisingly confirmed its order for four A380-800s, 10 A350-900s, five additional A330-200s, five A321-200s, 25 A320-200s and 12 A319-100s that it had originally placed when it still had control of Aerolineas Argentinas (AR/Buenos Aires Ezeiza), Austral (AU/Buenos Aires Aeroparque) and before Air Comet Chile (3I/Santiago de Chile) has suspended operations. It is unclear whether all of the aircraft will eventually be operated by Air Comet or if Marsans has other plans. Air Comet has wet-leased an A310-300 and an A330-200 to Royal Air Maroc (AT/Casablanca) for the Hajj season. Air Comet has announced plans for a new route linking Madrid and Medellin in 2009. It has now also given up its Madrid-San Jose Juan Santamaria route though.
