Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras (AD, São Paulo Viracopos) will take delivery of its and the world's first E195-E2 on September 12, Embraer announced on its website.
The delivery ceremony will take place at São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International airport. The first E195-E2 for Azul will be dry-leased from AerCap.
The Brazilian carrier currently has firm orders for fifty-one E195-E2s from the manufacturer and will also take three each from AerCap and Aircastle. It expects to receive six units by the end of 2019. The new generation jets will replace the airline's existing regional fleet, which consists of six E190ARs and fifty-one E195ARs.
According to the ch-aviation Commercial Aviation Aircraft Data module, other customers for the E195-E2s include AerCap (45 units), Air Peace (P4, Lagos) (10), Aircastle (13), and Binter Canarias (NT, Gran Canaria) (five).
In terms of the E2 Family, Embraer has so far delivered four E190-E2s each to Widerøe (WF, Bodø), and Air Astana (KC, Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev).
