RwandAir (WB, Kigali) has signed a firm purchase agreement worth USD33million with Canada's Bombardier Aerospace (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) for the delivery of one DHC-8-400 to be configured in a dual class configuration. The Rwandan national carrier intends to use the new turboprops to replace its ageing fleet of two DHC-8-100s, currently wet-leased to ply domestic and close regional flights.
