Cargolux (CV, Luxembourg) could see its 35% government-owned stake snapped up by Chinese investors following an announcement by the Luxembourger government that representatives of Henan province and investment vehicle, Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company (HNCA), had visited Luxembourg airport and Cargolux headquarters on Monday, September 16. The government did however underscore that HNCA is only one of the potential candidates that have expressed an interest in acquired a stake in the freight specialists. Cargolux's other shareholders include Luxembourg airline Luxair (LG, Luxembourg) (43.4%), the state-owned banking consortium BCEE (10.9%) and SNCI (10.7%).
