Sunwing Airlines (Toronto Pearson) has announced the finalization of a USD350million lease contract with Air Lease Corporation for two B737-800s and four B737 MAX 8s. The jets will be delivered to the Canadian operator over a four year period commencing early 2016.

“The acquisition of our new Boeing 737-800 and 737 MAX 8 aircraft is an integral part of our overall expansion plan across an increasing number of both Canadian and U.S. gateways," Sunwing president, Mark Williams, commented. "This year we will be operating flights out of 45 Canadian and U.S. local airports to over 40 different destinations across North and South America, and the Caribbean."

Currently, Sunwing is an all-Boeing (BOE, Washington National) operator with twenty-nine B737-800 WIN.s in service.
