US-Bangla Airlines (BS, Dhaka) has applied to the Bangladeshi government for rights to serve the Bhutanese town of Paro. Local media reports state the carrier, which operates a trio of Dash 8-400s on domestic Bangladeshi flights at present, plans to operate the service from its Dhaka hub.
At present, the route is operated by Bhutan's Drukair (KB, Paro) on a 3x weekly basis using ATR42-500 equipment.
