Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) has announced new long-haul services: Dusseldorf Intl-Miami: 6x weekly A340-300 service starting on October 28 (replacing Toronto Pearson service for the winter season) Frankfurt Intl-Dammam-Abu Dhabi: 3x weekly A330-300 service starting on March 31 (replacing service to Abu Dhabi via Dubai and one-stop services to Dammam via Kuwait) Munich-Mumbai: 3x weekly A340-300 service starting on May 3 It has temporarily suspended its services to Karachi until the end of May. Lufthansa will continue to serve Lahore three times weekly non-stop from Frankfurt with a technical stop in Dubai on the return leg. Three times weekly A300-600R service on a Frankfurt-Karachi-Lahore-Frankfurt routing is scheduled to resume on June 1. It is reportedly still considering a bid for Iberia (IB/Madrid).
