Silk Way West Airlines (7L, Baku Heydar Aliev International) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with JAL Cargo wherein the JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda) division will be able to make use of space onboard the Azeri carrier's dedicated freighters.

A statement issued last week said JAL Cargo would be able to tap Silk Way West's capacities on scheduled routes out of Europe via Baku Heydar Aliev International into Japan and vice versa.

Silk Way West currently serves Komatsu and Osaka Kansai from Baku via Seoul Incheon 3x weekly using a combination of B747-400(F) and B747-8(F) equipment.
