DAT - Danish Air Transport (DX, Kolding) is set to acquire its first ATR72-600s following the signing of 12-year lease agreements with Avation.

According to the Danish carrier's President and Chief Executive Officer, Jesper Rungholm, the Avions de Transport Régional turboprops will deliver in September and October this year in time for deployment into domestic Danish service in November. DAT currently uses three ATR72-200s to connect Rønne with each of Aalborg, Karup (via Copenhagen Kastrup), and Esbjerg (via Billund) under the Bornholmerflyet virtual carrier brand.

DAT also operates one ATR42-300, one -(QC), one -500, one ATR72-500 (wet-leased to Air Nostrum), one E120 (wet-leased from Budapest Aircraft Services), one MD-82 (wet-leased to SAS Scandinavian Airlines), and one MD-83.
