The A321-200NX is outfitted with 232 seats in a single-class configuration and is equipped with an additional fuel tank, allowing Jetstar to use it across Australia and on some routes to South-East Asia.
The Australian low-cost carrier plans to take at least thirty-eight A320neo Family aircraft, including eighteen A321-200Ns and twenty A321-200NY(XLR)s. All eighteen -200NX are due for delivery by mid-2024, while the -200NY(XLR)s are scheduled for induction between 2024 and 2029.

Qantas confirms A350-1000, A321XLR, A220 orders
02.05.2022 - 20:32 UTCQantas Group has confirmed tentative orders with Airbus for twelve ultra-long-range-capable A350-1000s, twenty ACV!A321NXLs, and twenty A220-300s, with a further 94 options for narrowbody aircraft.
Qantas (QF, Sydney Kingsford Smith) plans to use the A350s for non-stop flights from Sydney Kingsford Smith and Melbourne Tullamarine to Europe and the US East Coast as part of its Project Sunrise. The first aircraft are expected to deliver in 2025, in time for the late 2025 launch of flights from the two Australian gateways to London and New York. The remainder will deliver through 2028.
"The A350 and Project Sunrise will make almost any city in the world just one flight away from Australia. It’s the last frontier and the final fix for the tyranny of distance that has traditionally challenged travel to Australia. The first Project Sunrise flights will be from New York and London, but the aircraft will also be able to operate non-stop flights to Australia from destinations such as Paris and Frankfurt," Chief Executive Alan Joyce said.

Jetstar Japan to launch A321neo(LR) ops in early 3Q22
21.04.2022 - 01:18 UTCJetstar Japan (GK, Tokyo Narita) has announced it will begin revenue A321-200NX(LR) operations from July 1, 2022.
The Japanese low-cost carrier will deploy the first aircraft of the type from Tokyo Narita to Fukuoka (daily) and Sapporo Chitose (2x daily). The aircraft will be configured for up to 238 passengers in an all-economy class lay-out.
Jetstar Japan originally planned to add the first A321-200NX(LR) in 2020 but deferred that due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It plans to take three units of the type in total, with the second due for delivery by the end of 2022 and the third one in 2023. Although the carrier plans to deploy its A321neo(LR)s primarily on high-demand domestic routes, mainly due to continuing restrictions on international travel in Asia, it will also explore the possibility of using its extended range capabilities on international routes.
The carrier's current fleet comprises nineteen A320-200s. Besides the A321neo(LR)s, the carrier is also adding three A321-200(P2F)s to operate on behalf of Yamato Group.
