SkyWest Airlines (OO, St. George Municipal) will terminate its Chicago O'Hare to St. Cloud Sky Central flights on April 6 leaving the Minnesotan town without scheduled air services.
Local media reports state Skywest, which operates the flights under the United Express banner, is no longer willing to sustain financial losses being incurred on the route, despite USD1.75million in annual subsidies from the local municipality.
Launched in May 2014, the route operates twice-daily on-board CRJ200 aircraft.
