Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) signed an agreement with Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (Zhukovsky) for an order of 100 SSJ 100/95s to be delivered between 2019 and 2026. The Russian flag carrier placed the tentative order during the Eastern Economic Forum.

The order will be finalised once both sides agree on all terms and will each receive necessary corporate approvals.

To date, Aeroflot ordered fifty SSJ 100/95Bs, of which forty-nine have already been delivered. The fiftieth unit is expected to deliver shortly. The carrier also ordered fifty MC-21-300s.

"By 2026, our company will put on routes 200 Russian aircraft. Aeroflot has always performed the important role of the launch customer for Russian planes. Acting to the best interest of Russian aviation and the whole country is our absolute priority," General Director Vitaly Savelyev said.

Each of the new SSJ 100s will be equipped with 12 business class seats and 75 economy seats, just like the existing forty-nine units.

Aeroflot is the world's largest SSJ 100 operator. The Russian flag carrier operates nearly a third of all built aircraft of the type. The second-largest operator, Mexico's Interjet, operates twenty-one units.
