Gulf Air (GF, Bahrain International) has now also officially announced the resumption of scheduled services to Iran and Iraq from September onwards. It had stopped all flights to both countries following the violent clashes between anti-government protesters and government forces on the island in March 2011. It will again serve Esfahan Shahid Beheshti International, Mashad, Shiraz and Tehran Imam Khomeini in Iran and Baghdad, Basrah, Erbil and Najaf in Iraq.
