NZ Jet (Ardmore, NZ) has retired the sole Citation Ultra it operated, ch-aviation research reveals.

The 29-year-old aircraft, now registered in the United States as N974AJ (msn 560-0349), was previously operated as ZK-XGO. Configured for up to eight passengers, it was last active between April 30 and May 4, ferrying between Ardmore, NZ, where it was previously based, and Orlando Kissimmee, with stops at Auckland International, Port Vila, Honiara, Guam International, Sendai, Sapporo Chitose, Adak Island, Anchorage Ted Stevens, Bozeman, and Fort Worth Meacham. It is not currently listed as Part 135-certified and has yet to enter service as N974AJ.

This was NZ Jet's first executive jet, which was added to the company's own charter certificate in August 2024 alongside a 34.8-year-old, eight-seat Citation V, which remains in operation.

Earlier this year, NZ Jet and Jet Charters NZ combined their fleets under a strategic partnership. Jet Charters NZ is a subsidiary of Skyline Aviation, which holds a CAA Part 119 certificate comprising two Citation Mustangs, a Citation Sovereign, a Beechjet 400XTi, a King Air C90A, five King Air B200s, and a King Air B300.
