The Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, the United Arab Emirates' defence-industry regulator and procurement agency, has placed an order with Embraer Executive Jets for VIP aircraft at a value of AED212 million dirhams (USD57.8 million).

Details on the aircraft type or number of units remain undisclosed. Aviation Week Network reports the contract comprises two Praetor 600s, both to be operated by the United Arab Emirates Air Force.

The air force currently operates nine civilian-derived jets, all of Bombardier Business Aircraft make, including two Challenger 650s for maritime patrol, two Global 6000(Recce) for reconnaissance and intelligence missions, and three Global 6000(Eye) and two Global 6500(Eye) aircraft equipped with Saab (Sweden)-supplied airborne early-warning and control (AEW&C) systems.

Additionally, the United Arab Emirates government air transportation division, Presidential Flight, operates a B777-200ER, two B777-300ERs, a B787-8(BBJ), and two B787-9(BBJ)s, with a third unit stored at Moses Lake since April 2024.
