Denver City Council has voted 11-1 to deny a ground space lease contract at Denver International to Key Lime Air (KG, Denver Centennial) due to the airline operating deportation charters on behalf of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). "We have to send a message, and we have to push back in any way we can," councilwoman Flor Alvidrez said. The airline sought 1,300 square metres of storage and office space at the city-owned airport. The rejection of the contract will not impact Key Lime Air's operations, including its scheduled operations brand Denver Air Connection. The operator will retain free access to a shared storage area at the airport.
