Swiss (LX, Zurich) CEO Harry Hohmeister has told Bloomberg that Swiss would currently also be considering the B747-8 as a potential replacement for its fleet of 15 A340-300s. In November, Swiss had only confirmed that several A350 versions and the B777-300ER would be on its shortlist. Swiss parent Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) currently already operates four B747-8s and has additional 16 of the aircraft on order.
