The Republic of Singapore Air Force (Singapore Changi) will acquire three G550 maritime surveillance aircraft to complement four P-8A Poseidon B737-800 maritime patrol and reconnaissance derivatives, chosen in September and approved for purchase by the United States Department of State in January. The service already operates four G550(CAEW) aircraft, advanced surveillance and command-and-control platforms modified by Israel Aerospace Industries. The new G550-MSAs, alongside the P-8As, will replace five F50 maritime patrol aircraft currently in the air force's fleet.
