Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo) is strategising for half of its fleet to be composed of Russian-made aircraft within the next 10 years. CEO Sergey Aleksandrovsky told reporters at a summit on April 28, 2026, that based on current forecasts, “we assume a 50/50 ratio between imported and Russian fleets, and we will adhere to this proportion in our strategy.” The flag carrier plans to acquire more than 200 MC-21-300s by 2033. Roughly 20% of Aeroflot Group’s current fleet (which includes subsidiaries Pobeda and Rossiya) is domestically produced, comprising SSJ 100/95Bs.
