Airbus Corporate Jets announced the ACJ220's delivery on May 4. “We are delighted that the ACJ220 is debuting in Asia, carving out a new market segment, 'The Xtra Large Bizjet',” Chadi Saade, president of Airbus Corporate Jets, said in a statement.
The aircraft was outfitted before delivery by an Airbus partner. ch-aviation research indicates the ACJ220 was parked at Indianapolis International between early 2024 and February 19, 2026. The airport is home to Comlux Completion, which specialises in ACJ220 cabin outfitting, among other types.
Jet Aviation San Marino's managed ACJ220 is the first of the type to be based in the Asia-Pacific region and the fourth to enter service worldwide. Comlux Aviation Malta operates the first three ACJ220-100s, with one based at Almaty International and two at Dubai World Central.
Airbus Corporate Jets said the next two ACJ220 deliveries are scheduled for 2027 and 2028, with both aircraft destined for Asia.
One ACJ220 registered to Comlux Aviation Malta is currently being outfitted by Comlux Completion in Indianapolis International, while another, assigned to Airbus, is undergoing completion at ALOFT AeroArchitects in Georgetown, DE.
The manufacturer also disclosed that the three customers secured in Asia were previously business jet owners. Airbus Corporate Jets said it is targeting groups that own or have owned large-cabin, long-range jets.
