Air India (AI, Delhi International) and ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) have both told journalists earlier this week that they expect Boeing (BOE, Washington National) to compensate them in cash for the grounding of their B787-8 fleets, delayed deliveries for additional B787 aircraft and the costs associated with both. The carriers have both ruled out accepting discounts for future aircraft orders and expect to start negotiations on compensation payments with Boeing once their B787 fleets have been able to return to the air.
