Shandong Airlines (SC, Jinan) has announced plans to massively increase its presence in Chongqing where it currently already has three B737-800s based and operates to Jinan, Nanchang International, Qingdao Jiaodong, Wuhan, Xiamen and Zhengzhou non-stop. Shandong plans to deploy 10 aircraft to Chongqing by year end with future plans to include adding 10 more by 2015. Regional flights to Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia and Singapore are planned to follow additional domestic routes by the end of this year.
