Asian Wings Airways (Yangon) is set to sell a 49% stake to Japan's ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) for "almost JPY3billion (USD31million)" as part of the Japanese carrier's plans to boost its presence throughout Southeast Asia. Following a successful USD1.8billion share-sell off last year, the Japanese carrier has been on a shopping spree acquiring various airlines and aviation-related businesses to add to its growing portfolio, the latest of which, Pan Am International Flight Academy, an airline training provider based in Miami, was announced on August 22.
