Norwegian Long Haul (Oslo Gardermoen) has withdrawn its second B787-8, EI-LNB (msn 35305), from revenue service on September 26 and replaced it with a wet-leased A340-300 for its Stockholm Arlanda to New York JFK and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi flights following additional operational issues with the aircraft. Norwegian spokesman, Lasse Sandaker-Nielsen, said that the aircraft "has not been reliable enough and passengers have been subjected to too many delays" but declined to identify the technical issues. A team of Boeing (BOE, Washington National) experts recently held talks with the Norwegians in Oslo in which the US manufacturer agreed to base a team of 787 specialist technicians in the Norwegian capital. EI-LNB has returned to Oslo again on September 29.
