NewGen Airways (Bangkok Don Mueang) is the trade name of Sabaidee Airways Co., Ltd., a new Thai scheduled passenger and cargo carrier that intends to concentrate on the Chinese tourist market. Set up by various Thai entrepreneurs, New Gen intends to operate B737-400s initially though B767-300s are also mentioned in the start-up's prospectus. Routes out of Bangkok Don Mueang will include: Lanzhou, Zhengzhou, Guiyang, Hangzhou, Chengdu Shuangliu, Wuhan, Nanjing, Chongqing, Haikou, Yinchuan, Wuxi, Kunming Changshui, Xi'an Xianyang, Dalian and Nanning. The airline will encounter stiff competition on the routes from Thai AirAsia (FD, Bangkok Don Mueang) who have also oriented themselves to serve the burgeoning Chinese tourist market as well as a range of other Thai charter carriers specializing in charters from second tier markets in China.
