Myanma Airways (Yangon) has indeed signed a contract with GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) to lease six B737-800s and four Boeing 737 MAX 8s with deliveries set to run from June 2015 through to 2020. GECAS currently leases two E190s to the airline. The agreement was announced at a press conference attended by U Nyan Htun Aung, Myanmar's Minister of Transportation, Derek J. Mitchell, the US Ambassador to Myanmar and Kenneth E. Hyatt, the US Acting Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade.
