National Airlines (N8, Orlando Sanford) has applied to the US Department of Transportation for permission to begin a twice weekly Orlando International to Dubai International flight using one of its two B757-200s. According to documentation seen by ch-aviation, the flights will operate with an intermediate tech-stops in both Bangor International, Maine and Shannon in Ireland.
Targeting US government and contractor employees, the charter specialist had also planned to offer flights connecting Washington Dulles with Afghanistan using Dubai International as an intermediary stop in 2013.
National also offers ad-hoc cargo charters using two B747-400Fs.
