InselAir (Curaçao) will add six additional aircraft to its fleet by end of August. According to a CAPA Centre for Aviation report, the aircraft, which will be made up of three Fokker 70s and two Fokker 50s sourced from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines (KL, Amsterdam Schiphol) as well as an MD-8X, will primarily be used in expanding the airline's Aruba base.

Insel Air CEO Albert Kluyver told CAPA that three of the Fokker 70s will be deployed to its Aruban subsidiary, InselAir Aruba (Aruba), in the near future for use in launching flights to Belém International and Manaus International in Brazil, Havana International in Cuba, Quito International in Ecuador and San Juan Luis Muñoz Marin in Puerto Rico.

Additional destinations in Colombia are also planned.

Kluyver added that the Fokker 50s will be based out of Curaçao for use on intra-island services while the additional MD-8X will also be based in Curacao.
