Tianjin Airlines (GS, Tianjin) will become the Chinese launch customer for the Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos U.E. Stumpf International) E-Jet E2 series of aircraft following the signing of a firm order for twenty of the type. The first aircraft is scheduled to enter service with the Chinese regional carrier in 2018.

Signed during Chinese President Xi Jinping’s recent state visit to Brazil, the USD2.1billion order also includes twenty E-Jets, the first of which will be delivered next year.

The Hainan Airlines (HU, Haikou) subsidiary currently operates fifty E190s and twenty-two E145s alongside twelve A320-200s.
