West Air (China) (PN, Chongqing) has applied for an expansion of its business license to include the option to serve Hong Kong International, Macau International and Taiwan as well as international routes to neighbouring countries according to a report by WCARN.
The Chongqing based low-cost carrier is majority owned by HNA Group, the parent of Hainan Airlines (HU, Haikou). It also has small bases in Sanya and Zhengzhou and operates four A319-100s and 13 A320-200s.
