Easy Fly Express (EFX, Dhaka) has acquired a maiden Saab 340A following the recent retirement of its sole aircraft, a BAe 748(F). Deal facilitator Skyworld Aviation says S2-AIF (cn 89) was ferried from the United States to Bangladesh last week.
The turboprop - the first of its type in Bangladesh - was formerly owned by Sverigeflyg Leasing AB of Sweden which leased it out to Exec Direct Aviation (Kingston Norman Manley) of Jamaica as 6Y-JXD.
Founded in 2008, Easy Fly Express operates domestic and international charter flights as well as scheduled domestic cargo services to Cox's Bazar, Jessore, and Chittagong from its Dhaka base.
