Chongqing Airlines (OQ, Chongqing) will make its international debut later this month with a 3x weekly return service between Chongqing and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi. The route is scheduled to commence on February 4, the same day West Air (China) (PN, Chongqing) will operate its maiden international service - Chongqing-Singapore Changi.
Founded in 2007 as a joint venture between China Southern Airlines (CZ, Guangzhou) and the Chongqing municipal government, Chongqing Airlines operates four A319-100s and eight A320-200s on domestic flights to more than thirty destinations across mainland China.
