SATA Internacional (Ponta Delgada) has completed its rebranding as Azores Airlines (S4, Ponta Delgada) following the recent roll-out of a revised website and livery for its fleet of aircraft.
The move is aimed at enhancing the carrier's link with its home market of the Azores, a group of volcanic islands situated in the North Atlantic Ocean about 1,360 km west of continental Portugal.
The transition does not, however, affect its SATA Air Acores (SP, Ponta Delgada) subsidiary which will retain its current livery and branding for the foreseeable future.
As it stands, Azores Airlines operates three A310-300s, three A320-200s, and one A330-200. A further two A330s are expected as the carrier moves to replace its A310 fleet.
