MCA Airlines (Stockholm Arlanda) has suspended operations on November 6 because of financial difficulties. It had operated two Saab 2000s on a wet-lease contract for Blue 1 (KF/Helsinki) and a Fokker 100 on behalf of Petro Air (PEO/Tripoli Intl). In addition, it was operating scheduled services to the Middle East with an A320-200 it had itself wet-leased from SmartLynx (6Y/Riga). Its parent MCA Travel Group has also gone out of business later in November 2009 after first trying to find alternative operators to continue operations between Scandinavia and the Middle East.
