Quantum Air (Palma de Mallorca) has suspended operations with its five B717-200s on January 26. Quantum blamed its financial problems on hidden debts that SAS Scandinavian Airlines (SK/Copenhagen Kastrup) did not disclose when it sold AeBal to the new owners that had rebranded it as Quantum Air. SAS in return claims that it was in fact Quantum Air that did not pay it for the leasing rates of the B717-200s owned by SAS.
