flybe. (2002) (Exeter) will rebrand as Virgin Connect following the acquisition of the regional carrier by Connect Airways, a consortium including Virgin Atlantic (VS, London Heathrow), Stobart Group, and Cyrus Capital.

"At its heart, Virgin Connect will be passionately focused on becoming Europe's most loved and successful regional airline. It will offer travel that is simple and convenient with a personal touch. Our customers will naturally expect the same exceptional travel experience as they do with other Virgin-related brands," Connect Airways CEO Mark Anderson said in a press release.

While the group said that further details regarding the rebranding will be revealed over time, it did reveal that the carrier will change its livery to red, closely aligned with Virgin Atlantic's own colour scheme.

The takeover of flybe. by Connect Airways was approved by the European Commission in July 2019, contingent on the carrier releasing some of its slots at Amsterdam Schiphol and Paris CDG airports.
