Russian spacecraft and component manufacturer, S.P. Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia, has sold off 100% of its shareholding in Kosmos Airlines (KSM, Moscow Vnukovo) to the country's Roscosmos State Corporation for Space Activities, also known as Roscosmos (Moscow Vnukovo), for the nominal sum of 1 rouble (0.015 US dollars).

According to Tass, Roscosmos has yet to agree on a valuation on the carrier's assets with figures putting them at between RUB1-1.2 billion (USD15.4-18.5 million). Kosmos Airlines owns, among other things, an airport terminal at Moscow Vnukovo-3, called the Kosmos terminal, as well as two Tu-134s, two Tu-154s and three An-12s.

Though a subsidiary of Roscosmos, it will continue to provide air transport services to all Russian enterprises engaged in the rocket and space industry.
