orange2fly (Athens) will base one of its two A320-200s out of Birmingham, GB over the next six weeks where it will proffer extra capacity to the market both for short-term ACMI contracts as well as sub-charters and ad-hoc flights.

The aircraft is being exclusively marketed for orange2fly by Air Charter Service.

“We have brought in the aircraft from Greece until April 10 due to a period of high demand and low aircraft availability in Northern Europe at the moment," Matthew Purton, Commercial Jets Director at ACS, said. "There is also a huge swathe of sporting events coming up – it is the quarter-final stages of the UEFA Champions League and Europa League in football, and the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup in rugby. We know how in demand this sort of aircraft can be for such sporting events."
