Ross Aviation (Albuquerque International) has completed the takeover of Rectrix Aviation (Bedford, MA) as a part of its strategy to grow its Fixed Base Operator (FBO) business.

Ross Aviation runs a network of FBOs across the United States, spanning from Alaska to Florida. Earlier in 2019, it acquired Island Air (Cayman Islands) (Grand Cayman Island) in the Cayman Islands together with its FBOs at Grand Cayman Island and Cayman Brac Island. During earlier transactions, Ross Aviation also bought Alaska Aerofuel and Great Circle Flight FBOs at Fairbanks International and Anchorage Ted Stevens in Alaska. All its subsidiaries retain own brands.

After the acquisition, Rectrix Aviation will continue to operate five FBOs at Bedford, MA, Worcester Regional, Springfield Westfield Barnes Regional, Hyannis, and Sarasota/Bradenton under its own brand. The airline also operates MRO centres at Westfield, Bedford, and Sarasota. It will also continue to profer jet charter and commuter services under its own brand.

The airline has a Part 135 commuter certification and runs scheduled flights between Hyannis and Nantucket. It also plans cargo services between Hyannis, Nantucket, and Martha's Vineyard.

Rectrix currently operates one Bombardier Aerospace Challenger 300, one Challenger 604, and five Learjet 45(XR) business jets. It also operates two Beechcraft King Air 300s on its commuter network and has one Cessna (twin piston) 402.
